Fair Day

Mason, Carter, and I are watching High School Musical. I have to get Carter's dancing on video - great blackmail material when he's a teenager.

We all went to the fair today with our very kind, patient friend, Wanda. Anyone lacking those qualities wouldn't be able to stand a day at the fair with the craziness we bring along. Anyway, the highlights : the Sky Ride (twice); the farm simulation game where Mason got to perform farm tasks, earn money, and shop at the general store; the birthing center where we saw baby chicks, lambs, and piglets. After an exhausting day, $5 for lemonade, $8 for entry, and $3 per ride, Mason was full of gratitude and sweet expressions of thanks to his parents for the wonderful day - NOT. Typical kid - he griped and complained all the way to the car about all the things he didn't get to do. I'm sure he'll be much more kind and grateful when he's 12 or 13. HA!
